Dare to Dream. Royal Albert Hall. March 18, 2019.
How do children from other cultures experience conflict and loss? Dare to Dream is a newly commissioned semi-staged opera. It’s a partnership between Buckinghamshire Music Trust, Garsington Opera and Rosetta Life. The piece is drawn from a series of ground-breaking Skypes between primary school children in England and children living in conflict and poverty stricken communities in Dhakar, Kampala and Damascus.
A core company of 90 children, a massed choir of 800 children and soloists Claire Wild and Kieran Rayner are backed by a 25 piece orchestra.
An exhilarating experience and a celebration of the joy of singing.
